What grass fed means here
The steak on our counter is grass fed and locally sourced. We sell it at the farm store in Murrayville. We do not dress it up as organic. Come taste it and decide.
Why it tastes different
Grass fed steak tastes like the animal lived on grass. It is often a little leaner than grocery steak. That is not a flaw. It is the reason you salt it well, sear it hard, and rest it longer than you think.
What you will find this week
Cuts change with the week. A tomahawk might be there. It might not. Write hello@waterhousefarm.ca if you need a specific piece. Otherwise come any day and take what looks right.
The honest comparison
Grocery steak is convenient. This is a drive to 21834 40th Ave, Langley BC, and a conversation at the counter. People come from the Fraser Valley because they want food sourced close by, sold at a farm store. You can decide in person.
