Pastured
Why farm eggs look different
Pastured eggs from hens on the ground. Richer yolks. Collected close to home and sold at the farm store.

The yolk is the tell
A grocery egg is a grocery egg. A pastured egg from this farm has a richer yolk and a tighter white. Kate fries them sunny side up so you can see it. That is the difference you came for.
How the hens live
The hens are on the ground at Waterhouse Farm in Murrayville. Eggs are collected close to home and sold at the same store as the steak, the sausages, and the honey. The farm store has been in Murrayville since 1904.
How they cook
Farm eggs cook a little hotter and a little richer than grocery eggs. Give them a warm pan, a little butter, and do not rush the white. If you want the steps, Kate wrote them down.
